It was a great week!

I am finally getting around to paying attention to my computer since the week in the redwoods at the Mount Hermon Writer's conference. On Wednesday the 12th, daughter Laurie flew into San Jose from Illinois shortly after granddaughter Clare and I arrived from Seattle. What a treat working together for the conference.

The first box of Bittersweet books was shipped directly from the printer, and melted away in the conference bookstore. So now we wait a little longer to get more books to fill your pre-orders. But it wont be long.

It was an oh-so-busy week- 430 of us in all, including 70-plus faculty and the rest of the conferees. It was a privilege to work with every single person at our desk at the hub of the conference. We met some awesome people- heard incredible stories of faith and endurance, and our own trials began to look rather small. God is so good.

The week seemed to go too quickly, but when we began to relax we discovered just how tired we were. Adrenalin can keep one going only so long!

I will post some pictures that were taken during the week, and try to post the news release about the conference. But my printer-scanner has decided to go on strike, so we may have to settle for the pictures.

We love to hear from you- new friends from Mt Hermon, send an email through this website to Laurie, Clare or Gay. Oh yes- the rest of you out there too!
